We learned a day or two again that DJ Fresh and Diplo were going to be releasing a collaboration, “Bang Bang,” today but we didn’t think it would be quite like this. While DJ Fresh is certainly based in DnB, we didn’t think his style would take precedence over Diplo’s, but we love the result.
Blending classic jungle rhythms with classic dance hall vocals (credit is due to R. City, Selah Sue and Craig David for keeping things fresh) and vibes, this is a true collaboration that should please fans of either artist, no matter when they started listening.
Though short, it’s worth the listen. Check out “Bang Bang” below:
