Your EDM Premiere: Hear Axwell & Shapov’s “Belong” Like Never Before, Courtesy Of D.O.D. [Axtone]

With each release, Axwell has continued to cement his name in the annals of dance music legends. His ear is impeccable and he never fails to astound us with bright and beautiful hooks. His single, “Belong”, a collaboration with Shapov, is no exception, and the remix, courtesy of the talented UK artist, D.O.D., is an instant favorite.

Originally from Manchester, D.O.D. (full name Dan O’Donnell) earned a name for himself through superb DJing, paired with personal edits and bootlegs that quickly became favorites all over. Along with Laidback Luke, who continues to be a mentor and robust advocate of his work, D.O.D’s music is also strongly supported by such names as Hardwell, Blasterjaxx, Dyro, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, Tiesto and many more.

For this being his debut on Axtone, he sure holds nothing back. He keeps the ambiance of the original while mixing in a mighty, bass throbbing drop that is going to shake dance floors all over the world. It’s a little bit of future, of progressive, and all-around an incredible take on the original that definitely does justice to “Belong”.
