As part of his performance at the first-ever ComplexCon next month, Skrillex gave an exclusive interview to Complex with some really juicy information. This isn’t the first time that Skrillex has spoken with Complex, appearing in a massive cover story back in 2014, but it’s definitely one of his more revealing interviews, in terms of just pure information that he gave out.
In the first third of the interview, he talks about new music that he’s working on with Bruno Mars, as well as Rihanna’s ghostwriter Bibi Bourelly. It’s been known that Skrillex has been assisting Mars with his forthcoming album, but a tweet from the artist yesterday morning indicates that all that work is finally completed!

“I’m joining him for his album. Who knows if I’ll do something that’s more of a Skrillex thing with him, but he has a vision for his album, and I’m helping him produce it on some of the songs,” Skrillex told Complex. “It’s incredible. He’s my favorite songwriter to work with, and he’s the most fun guy to be in the studio with.”

On top of his work with Mars, Skrillex has also been working on music with Bourelly, as well as Kehlani.
“We did a record. It’s called ‘Chillin,’” he says. “It’s kind of sitting there and I want it to come out, but I don’t know the status of that when it comes to Bibi’s schedule and Kehlani’s schedule. Complex, you should bug them to get their shit together and release it.”
