We’ve been waiting on an album announcement from the Gorillaz for God knows how long at this point, but at least they’ve become more active on social media – which is a good thing. When an artist starts bumping up their activity across the internet, it’s never for a bad reason.
This morning on the Gorillaz instagram, The Book Of Noodle appeared. Spanning 4 Instagrams of text and 7 Instagrams of visual media (what an odd unit of measurement…), the story involves Noodle and an ancient demon that must be killed.
At the end, what appears to be an album announcement, or at least the acknowledgement that an album is being worked on… regardless, it’s an interesting strategy and one that we’re not in the least unhappy to see.
