Insomniac Events just announced a new festival in one of its most overlooked regions of the country: the south. Though Insomniac has a huge presence in California, the midwest, and even New York, Texas hasn’t had a great many Insomniac events except for the occasional Crush in February.
Now, Texas is getting its own complete Insomniac festival called Middlelands and we’re chomping at the bit to find out what it’s all about. What we do know is that it will be a four-day camping festival in Todd Mission, Texas, and they’ve teamed up with C3 Presents, the promoters behind Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. Based on the name and design work, we expect there to be some kind of medieval element or theme to the festival.
