In the wake of Apple’s controversial announcement that their upcoming of iPhone 7 models will not have the 3.5 mm headphone jack, one Youtube channel has taken it upon themselves to come up with a solution that they hope will convince consumers to give the phone another chance.
TechRax takes a very simple approach to creating a DIY headphone jack using only a couple of standard tools. First, you’ll need a clamp to hold the phone upright and upside down for easy access to the bottom of the device. Next, you’ll want to get your hands on a 3.5 mm electric drill.
The last step is simple, folks. Just drill a hole into the bottom of the iPhone in the spot where it would normally be, and voila! You now have a fully functioning headphone jack perfect for your cord headphones and aux cables.
