It’s UK chart watch time! You all know how well “Closer” is doing here in the States, but how well is it doing across the Atlantic? Apparently just as well as its doing here as the single has just climbed to #1 in the UK Singles charts will also achieving silver certification with over 200,000 units sold.
The Chainsmokers came close to topping the UK Singles chart on their last rodeo when “Don’t Let Me Down” peaked at #2, but this time they’ve finally hit that coveted #1 spot.
Alas, with The Chainsmokers claiming the throne, somebody has to relinquish it and this week it’s Major Lazer with “Cold Water” dropping to #3 after leading the pack for five weeks. DJ Snake and Justin Bieber round out an EDM-led top 3 with “Let Me Love You” giving Justin two placements in the top three (again) – not bad at all.
