After the disastrous failure of We Are Your Friends, the bar for EDM movies was set pretty low. Shortly after, Netflix announced their own endeavor to turn electronic dance culture into a feature film, XOXO. They did a lot of things right, namely acquiring Pete Tong to supervise the feature’s music, however, as expected, lot’s of things could have been better.
Of course, when you tweak the reality of a particular career field for the big screen, the real professionals are going to have something to say about it.
