When Major Lazer & DJ Snake released “Lean On” with MØ last year, it was a phenomenon. Now that the spiritual sequel, “Cold Water,” with Justin Bieber is out, we expected it to receive incredible success… but not even we could have predicted something like this.
As Diplo points out in the post below, it took “Lean On” 3 months to become Spotify’s Global #1 Hit… “Cold Water” only took four days. The star power of Justin Bieber can really not be understated here, nor can the radio-ready sensibilities of the track itself. Needless to say, having a repeat cast including MØ certainly helped listeners have an idea of what to expect. Still, it’s incredible how well this track has done in the charts.
