Your EDM’s Top Pick Of Tomorrowland Day 1: Tiësto

tiesto ultra tiesto ultra

Okay, we can’t believe it either, but Tiësto low-key threw down one of the best sets we’ve heard from him in years. Gripping the enchanted main stage by its roots and driving the crowd through an eclectic journey of anthems both old and new, the Dutchman absolutely destroyed his performance.

No genre was off-limits as Tiësto traversed through the entire gamut of progressive house, bass music, electro, and more. On top of the wild track selection, Tiësto brought out a couple special guests, including VASSY, whose live performance was a breath of fresh air. Tiësto even welcomed Mike Williams on stage for their upcoming collaboration “I Want You,” and blasted minds with a new ID that has us churning with hype.

We’re certainly not ones to gawk over Tiësto, but that’s what made this particular set so special. The man had a genuine manner plastered about him that showed he was actually having fun, a couple rough transitions added authenticity to the set, and his track choice strayed miles from the typical top 40 we’ve become accustomed to. The beauty is in the unexpected, and to see a legend such as Tiësto return to form, if only for an hour, is quite an occasion indeed. Listen to the magic below, and gear up for another full day of the world’s best electronic dance music.
