In May of this year, Pierce Fulton was involved in a serious accident that left him hospitalized with fractured ribs and a punctured lung. His return to music was inevitable, though the degree to which he’d be able to perform soon after his recovery was still in question.
Now, as he prepares to release his Borrowed Lives EP this Friday, July 22, he has released the title track and it’s nothing short of incredible. This track really isn’t EDM, bordering more on folk and indie rock than anything else, but I love this track so much that I couldn’t ignore it any longer.
Pierce Fulton himself has said that “Borrowed Lives” is his favorite thing he’s ever done, and I definitely can’t fault him for thinking so. The track is blissful and simple in its rhythm and progression, though entirely euphoric in its construction. It’s the perfect radio-friendly song that I wouldn’t mind hearing every half hour because it’s that good!
Like I said before, it’s not really EDM, so I know a lot of people won’t think of this as their cup of tea; but I implore you to at least give it a shot.
