Unfortunately, I was too young to have ever played, or remember playing at least, the classic 90s video game “Jet Set Radio,” but that’s okay because 2ToneDisco have gone ahead and crafted a nifty single in tribute to the video game.
“Headset Radio” is a synth-laden masterpiece that conjures up images of Japanese anime and bright 64-bit textures. Vocal chops, glittery synth-work, and grungy instrumental samples find themselves mixed up in a frantic high-tempo track which harkens back to the days of the Sega Dreamcast when video games were so much simpler.
