UPDATE: Spinnin’ Records Not Dropped, Internal Malfunction To Blame

UPDATE: Beatport has released a statement declaring that no labels have been banned. It is likely an internal issue and not a reflection or result of the restructuring.

Yesterday, Beatport announced that it would be discontinuing its streaming service, mobile app, News and Events sections and video livestreaming platform on May 13. In a statement issued to the public, the company said these efforts are meant to direct their focus back towards the DJing community that made the site what it is today. However, due to unknown internal errors, Spinnin’ Records and each of its subsidiary labels have been removed from the site.
