Mad Decent Block Party has changed a lot from its days when it’s a free event. From the lineup to the price to the locations, MDBP’s annual run of shows is something that many people look forward to each and every year. This year’s installment looks to be one of the most diverse and surprising in the history of the festival.
From the returning favorites like Flosstradamus and Zeds Dead, there are plenty of fresh faces in the lineup. The ones that we’re most drawn to, however, are three: Kaskade, Tiësto, and Kesha.
The first two have never played a Block Party event before, and it will be extremely interesting to see how the Mad Decent crowd responds to their inclusion. On the other side, you have Kesha, who just came off a huge guest appearance for Zedd at Coachella. The fact that Mad Decent was able to book her for MDBP is actually a massive accomplishment for both parties. Moreover, the question of how exactly she will be performing comes to mind. Will she be DJing herself, or backed by a DJ? Perhaps it will be only a vocal performance with an accompanying band? Only time will tell…
