After being knocked off the throne in this past year’s DJ Mag Top 100, Hardwell has bounced back with even more proof on why the title should have rightfully been his again. Just before festival season, and just in time for his own birthday, Hardwell has released his brand new track, “Blackout,” for free download to all of his fans.
Blackout is not a revolutionary track as it sticks to the sound that Hardwell knows and has become famous for. Elements of his dutch style with sweeping progressive synths make this track meant for no other place but the big room main stage. With that in mind, the emotional builds and vocal lines give the track an almost Spaceman feel before the drop hits and brings the energy level up ten fold.
Hardwell has also promised that 2016 will be packed with new music and we are sure that Blackout is just the precursor to an onslaught of new tunes from the former king.
