In the past few months, I have come to find a new Soundcloud page to wholeheartedly enjoy, who everyone is starting to fall in love with, too. This wispy and ambitious collective takes future music to a whole new standard by working with artists who have fresh and beautiful ideas. They also have a very clear and concise way of distributing their works of art. They want their listeners to embark on special adventures, and in a way these guys remind me of what Monstercat has been doing for years now. I really had an urge to write about their latest release, as they’re taking this scene to new heights and expanding into a whole new world. A brand new dreamy world called Soda Island.
Spire, one of the many talented and growing artists on the Soda Island collective just released their new track “Petals Fall” with a NEST HQ Premiere. This fascinating tune is just so wonderful, and it brings the right combination of happy and sensual. The vocals are bright and brilliant, and I just love the bits of acoustic guitar with the smooth bass line. Little blips of bubbles popping and the clicking claps will give anyone goosebumps. This may just be the best release Spire has put out in their career so far, and I cannot wait to see what else they have in store for us all.
