Australian producer Luude has just released his latest original on Buygore Records, a fiery trap swinger called “Cortex.” This track comes as a follow up to a recent collaboration with Enschway and another original put out on The South East Grind. “Cortex” includes infectious Danny Brown vocal samples and a simplistic yet effective arrangement to create a unique and abrasive atmosphere. It begins with high pitched vocal cuts and a building arpeggio. Snare rolls and risers quickly enter the picture, until the drop is upon us. Off-time twangs and deep, resounding wubs fill the spaces between inhales of white noise. After a short rest, the track swells upwards once more. Danny Brown’s distorted phrases can be heard thrown around the space for the length of the track, until an ethereal fadeout closes it out.
