Final Day of Voodoo Fest 2015 Cancelled, Refunds To Be Issued

The three day New Orleans-based festival Voodoo Music + Arts Experience suffered a setback which has become all too common this year in music festivals by having to cancel their third and final day, November 1st, due to weather concerns. Festival organizers cited “dangerous weather conditions, including forecasted persistent rain and flash flood warnings for Orleans Parish for Sunday.” Organizers also added that “fan safety is the top priority for the producers of the festival,” and that “current conditions at City Park do not meet our standards for maintaining a safe experience.”

Day three was supposed to see headliners Deadmau5, Zac Brown Band, and Chance The Rapper take the stage in addition to usual EDM festival staples Tchami, Eric Prydz and more.

Unfortunately for festival attendees, New Orleans had already been plagued by less than ideal weather conditions for the full duration of the festival thus far with most of the festival ground already resembling a mudslide and a further twelve hours of rain didn’t seem to help either. Ultimately festival organizers were forced to make a choice despite the festival’s policy of taking place “rain or shine” and would go on to call it a day.

According to the festival’s official announcement, three-day ticket holders will be granted a 1/3 refund while single day ticket holders for the third day will be given a full reimbursement.
