RL Grime stunned the crowd at this year’s Trillectro Music Festival as he played his remix of “The Hills” by The Weeknd, and it absolutely went off.
The track capitalises on the dark edginess of the original by providing raucous trap beats and a bassline which can be guaranteed to cause a stir on any dancefloor. The track goes hard, but still retains the melancholic and uplifting feel of The Weeknd’s smash hit.
Compare it to the massive remix of “Can’t Feel My Face” from Martin Garrix, and both carry the man’s distinctive melodies, but both are sure to be huge dance hits. Who do you think did it better?
