There’s no question that Porter Robinson‘s Worlds EP was one of the most influential works of last year. With a completely unique live show and nonstop cascade of remixes pouring into Soundcloud ever since, the massive effect it’s had on the community doesn’t look to be fading any time soon. As extra insurance, Porter himself has just taken to Facebook to announce the official remix album to Worlds.
At 12 tracks, featuring one remix per track on the album, the compilation will see remixes from an exciting and well-rounded array of artists. Odesza, Slumberjvck, Mat Zo, San Holo, Point Point, Electric Mantis, and Chrome Sparks are only a few of the producers that will tackle the hits, lending their own unique take to the classics that have become the soundtrack of the dance music scene. Many of the producers come from a future bass/trap background, giving us certainty that most of the flips will be bass-heavy while maintaining an emotional center to their complex melodies.
Check out the full list of contributors below, and mark your calendars for the EP release date on October 2nd.
