Tiësto’s hit “Secrets” with KSHMR has been attracting a lot of interest from various parties interested in remixing it and, so far, most of them have just been pretty good. That is, until we saw that Diplo released a remix of his own.
“I love what Diplo did with his remix,” Tiësto tells Rolling Stone. “The original is high energy from start to finish so Diplo stripped it down and added a real island feel to the song which is great for the summer.”
We’re not really sure what Tiësto is saying, since the original sounds way more island-y than this club banger. Still, Diplo did indeed strip it down and build it back up with a similar trapped out melody. It’s still pretty bare and minimalist at the drop, but sometimes that’s what you need to set the tempo for a room.
No word yet on when this will see an official release or download.
This is not the first time that the two have worked together, having collaborated on 2010’s “C’Mon” (which was actually really good).
