The musical brilliance of Georgio Moroder has been steadily revived since collaborating with a certain robotic duo in 2013. The godfather of disco recently dropped a single from his forthcoming album and it tickles in all the right ways. In addition, six remixes of ‘Right Here, Right Now’ have accompanied the release, each spinning the track with its own touch of house flavor.
The Whiiite remix is a standout, highlighting the chunky synth lead of the original mix and fattening it into an unexpected trap-line. The official endorsement of Moroder on the remix is a welcome honor for Whiiite, though the producer has already built quite a reputation as the co-founder of Control Fridays at LA’s Avalon.
