While mainly dedicated to the heavy field work of cinematic film scoring, fellow Trance enthusiast Afternova still finds time in his schedule in order to create some pretty spectacular Trance that’s purely based on the vulnerable, emotional capabilities that the genre truly has to offer without having to worry about the pressures of making an Uplifting track, ‘club ready’. Artists like him are only focused on achieving musical insight through the expressive constructs that the genre has to offer, and while many artists are either pressured or bound to create music that can work in a live setting, he has all the freedom in the world to create whatever he feels like, (and thank goodness that creative output is towards incredibly emotional Trance music). Throughout his unshackled career as a producer, he has released numerous singles on Abora Recordings with Into The Sky and Tranquility, as well as some spotty remixes for ReOrder‘s iconic single, Biscay Bay, off of Perspective Recordings and DRYM‘s single of Step Towards The Within on Raz Nitan Music. While recently focusing more on his own label through a number of singles and remixes, his last big single was featured on Abora Recordings, which was the fantastic Uplifter called Together We Are Strong and was supported by hard hitting Uplifting artists such as Aly & Fila, Ahmed Romel, Photographer and Roger Shah on their respective radio shows. Fast forward 9 months later to see the team over at Abora re-releasing this spellbinding single with two brand new remixes by stellar, upcoming talents, as well as a beautifully crafted Intro Mix made by Afternova himself.
Hailing from the sun drenched lands of Venezuela, the fantastic, euphoric talents of Manuel Rocca has always been a reliable artist to fall back on whenever you wanted to hear quality, emotionally driven Trance, and we personally feel that he does not get nearly the credit that he deserves with his heartwarming melodies and ear catching color selections. Throughout the years, he has been supported by the likes of Aly & Fila, Solarstone, The Thrillseekers, Sean Tyas, Jorn van Deynhoven and much more, and while he may not get the support that he rightfully merits, he still continues on writing music that means something to him without worrying about what other people may think, and this unique mindset is worth more in music production than all of the fans in the world. Within this fantastic remix pack, Manuel took to the drawing board to discover and tap into this track’s limitless potential, and the result that he came up with is nothing short of magical, (musical-wise). While it was crafted with a Pure Trance state of mind, the goal of producing boundless, euphoric music, (much like Afternova), is a reward within itself, because not only are the artists able to represent themselves within a musical realm where words may fail, but we too, the listeners, get to hear the joyous tickings of one’s mind and the infinite possibilities that they might hold. His remix for Together We Are Strong is simply amazing to listen to, as it lets go of all inhibitions and lets the listener run free and wild throughout the confines of both their own conscious and the unforseen sound door that is the gateway to the musician’s boundless, creative mind.
