The Friday release for this week on Monstercat features Case & Point with a huge electro track titled “Fugitive.”
This time, the duo are bringing a dirty electro track and with it, some really incredible influences. First though, that lead synth in the build is f*cking awesome – it resembles a racecar engine, and with the bass kicks, it turned out really, really cool. The rest of the track is futuristic and gritty with a hint of French.
So let’s get back to those influences, yeah? “Fugitive” is like a dirty Kavinsky or Justice, with some OVERWERK thrown in for good measure. There’s this strong French house & electro vibe going on that’s mighty infectious. The second drop has got some strong French electro influences, and I absolutely love it. Case & Point have taken this popular style and made it all their own.
