If you’re a sucker for smooth, sexy, bass music, then you need to fill your ears with some DAILON. His unique, low-end heavy sound defies categorization, drawing influence from a range of genres including R&B, Jersey club, and chill-wave. A native of Nashvile, TN, he moved to San Francisco in 2011 and made the Bay Area his home. Since then, his style has continued to evolve and his career has exploded; his EP The Meaning was released on NorCal label Raw Data and he has shared the stage with everyone from Sweater Beats and Kaytranada to Herobust and Gladkill.
To celebrate the strides he’s been making, DAILON released the Transitions EP; meant to be his Xmas/New Year’s gift to the world, Transitions features six completely original tracks created over the year or so after he moved to the Bay Area. While most of them have made previous appearances on his Soundcloud, none of them have ever been available for the public to download until now. The intention behind this release is truly fantastic and the music is even better. Each track is it’s own flavorful soup of expressive drum patterns and soft, airy synth & vocal work that caresses the listener. Before you know it, your head will be bobbin’ steady as you lose yourself to the beat. Check out the full stream of DAILON‘s Transitions EP after the jump and grab the free download on his Bandcamp.
