Spotify, that music streaming service Canadians didn’t get to experience until recently, has revealed some interesting statistics about their artists. One of Calvin Harris’ most well known songs “Summer” is the third most streamed song in the entire world.
Calvin also was 4th on the global artists list behind musicians Eminem, Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry. Avicii and David Guetta came in 4th and 5th on Spotify’s Most Streamed Male Artist list. This information further reinforces how big edm has truly become and it comes as no surprise that all the EDM artists produce variation of house music. The mainstream appeal of house/pop music crossover has catapulted artists such as Calvin Harris into a new limelight.
