Dear readers,
Today is a special day for everyone in the United States as we sit down with friends and family to give thanks over food and game. We at Your EDM want to take the time to give thanks to the entire electronic dance music community for its support, especially throughout the year of 2014. The amount of love we have received over these past months is absolutely unbelievable and we couldn’t be more grateful.
EDM has quickly become one of the more controversial music scenes when looking from the outside in; but we all know that it is ultimately one of universal acceptance. Kaskade put it best in his ramblings written over a year ago, but still applicable today 
…as far as a music culture goes, EDM is the one who will accept the kids on the outliers, the ones who get bullied, the ones who feel like they may not quite fit in.
Most of the writers and team members that are apart of Your EDM today can attest to this fact. We have been bullied in our childhoods, we have been the kids that never quite fit in; however we found a home in the EDM community, and moreover as part of Your EDM. Our staff is accepting, open-minded and supportive, and since I started here I have never felt more at home. For this reason I would like to give special thanks to the two who have made this all possible: Elliot Sachs, our CEO, & Nick Ward, our CFO.
I am thankful to have such a wonderful team to work with day-in and day-out. But mostly, I’m thankful for the people who are reading this right now, and have read my articles in the past. You make it all possible, and even with your compelling counter-arguments, you are the reason I do what I do.
