Your EDM Exclusive Interview – Salvatore Ganacci

We have managed to grab a few words with Salvatore Ganacci, who is about to have a high profile release on Def Jam. The Swedish producer has put a truly unique spin on his remix of Alesso’s ‘Heroes’ ft. Tove Lo, and it dropped on November 24th. We wanted to hear a little more about this creative artist’s background, and how the remix opportunity came about.

You have quite a unique sound throughout your productions, what three words would you use to sum up the experience of listening to a Salvatore Ganacci creation?

Love, Hair and Breitlings.

What musical styles do you most like to listen to on your days off?

I love all kinds of music, everything from rock, reggae, dancehall, hip hop to Peruvian flute bands.

With 2014 slowly coming to an end what has been your highlight of an exciting year?

Winning the award for “Rookie Producer Of The Year” at the Denniz Pop Awards. The jury who picked me included legends like Max Martin so that was a great recognition, I’ve always looked up to him and Denniz Pop.

Hailing from Stockholm, what is it in your opinion that makes Sweden so dominant in the electronic music scene?

I’m living in Stockholm, but I’m hailing from a place far far away. It’s probably because we have the greatest welfare system in the world. Anyone can buy a computer and start making music.

What was the creative process like with this production?

I always try to create new stuff, so the name of the genre in this tune I chose call “Deep Trap”. A normal day in the studio for me would be putting on some inspiring music, smoke one of my finest cigars, take my porsche out for a spin, get back in the studio and make a banger.

And finally, what can we expect from you in 2015?

We can expect banger after banger. For example I got a big tune coming up with my brothers Major Lazer and also a crazy collab with Trinidad James, and a bunch of other stuff. Also I finna buy my momma a house.

Be sure to snap up a copy of Salvatore’s new remix out now.
