In honor of No Shave November, your favorite DJs are back with their fourth volume in their mixtape series, “War Against Razors.” This mix has had me jumping around my apartment all week, just a little taste of what it is like to see RaceCarBed live in action. It features some originals, and a slew of tracks from some of your favorite artists and theirs, like Jauz, Ookay, SNBRN, Henry Fong and more. I am a big proponent of breaking down the barriers of genre, as long as it can be done in way that creates a cohesive sound in the end. Something to vibe to, dance to, get down and shake it to, or just chill to if that is what you want. Volume 4 of, “War Against Razors,” is exactly that. It packs the heat of some of your favorite songs and the best remixes of those songs, and also has low tones and deep house vibes. And while it is completely all over the place genre wise, it moves from beginning to end with ease. It claps and whomps and bumps and bounces into the depths of your soul. Just over an hour of music that goes completely mental, grab a listen. My favorite track in this that I didn’t know about until yesterday is Drezo’s remix of “Forgot About Dre.” So good.
