Exert first entered my radar back in July with a masterful bootleg of a track from Paloma Faith (which has since been taken down, unfortunately). He sent over this track this weekend and I was instantly dancing and bouncing around in my office chair — shit was squeaking like nobody’s business. The original comes from Morley & Speo, a chillstep track akin to Seven Lions or Skrux. But Exert bumped up the tempo and layed down some heavier guitar riffs, more refined piano chord and chopped up some of the vocals. The effect turned out wonderful and we’re “hoping” that we get to hear more stuff like this in the future.
