Insomniac is following in the footsteps of ID&T‘s success with their cashless systems at festivals like Tomorrowland, Mysterland, & Tomorrowworld starting with one of the last festivals of the season, EDC Orlando.
Based on my foray at Tomorrowland, I am a fan of the cashless system as it was simple, easy to use, and sped up service times for vendors… which lead to an overall better experience.
Were tokens easily misplaced? Of course; but it pays for itself as a simple way to keep track of how much you spend and insuring you get back to the stage as quickly as possible.
