Fedde Le Grand is back with another infectious single, “Devils.” Teaming up with singing sensation Vince Freeman, of The Voice UK fame, “Devils” is a soulful, yet vibey tune that plays just as well on the radio as it does in the club.
The track opens with some stark piano chords and Freeman’s incredible vocals. The first line of the song is “feels like lately I sold my soul, for nothing at all.” That should give you an idea of the kind of blues-influenced vocal vibe that permeates the track, and it’s a great thing! We head into the vocal refrain and the synths and hand claps start to come in.
From there we get the fantastic drop that features a piano house groove, and Fedde’s light synth notes playing in the background. The chorus is an absolute bop that you can sing along to as well. You might have a devil on your shoulder, but I’d listen if he wants you to listen to this track. Fedde and Vince agree.
“I think everybody has a Devil on his shoulder, this song made me realise that’s not a bad thing.” – Fedde Le Grand
“I think we all battle with our own Devils.. maybe all we need is a friend to remind us of who we are .. if we are lucky enough.” – Vince Freeman
