Nicky Romero Drops Another Progressive House Gem, “Okay” with MARF and Wulf

Nicky Romero is back with another single, and he’s bringing that sweet main stage progressive house sound to the masses with “Okay.” Teaming up with Dutch producer MARF and Dutch vocalist Wulf, “Okay” is a bright and uplifting single with a timely message of checking in on your friends.

As the world starts to open back up, Nicky Romero has mostly been focused on melodic progressive house that will sound amazing at festivals. “Okay” is no exception; the track opens up with some gentle piano notes and Wulf’s soaring, anthemic vocals. No question, a lot of the emotion of the track comes from Wulf waxing melodic about hating to see the people he care’s about lonely, making sure they’re “Okay.”

The vocal buildup is blissful and matches up with the soaring synth melody of the drop. This is sure to be a feature in Nicky’s live sets going forward and also carries a powerful message that it’s important to check up on those you love. Here’s what Nicky Romero had to say about the making of “Okay.”

“When it comes to the writing and production process, ‘Okay’ was a very special track to work on together with MARF & Wulf. For me, it has become a song close to my heart. During these extraordinary times, the people that are close to me became more important than ever. The message behind ‘Okay’ that we want to spread is that we should check on the people around us more often whether or not things are ‘okay.’ We should show them that we are there for them when they need us. Every line in the song has a deeper meaning, and I can’t wait to perform it live.”

Check out the latest from Nicky Romero & MARF “Okay” featuring Wulf, out now on Protocol.
