Mt. Sierra Shares Uplifting Debut Single “Mt. Joel”

Boasting a sound that is as inspired by the rave scene of the late 2000’s, as it is from the more recent deep/tech house movement, Mt. Sierra has just unveiled his debut single, “Mt. Joel,” that arrives on digital platforms via self release on SME RECORDS. An ode to dance music icon deadmau5, “Mt. Joel” marks just the beginning for Mt. Sierra, and is a truly infectious progressive house tune, driven by expert sound design, rich textural elements and uplifting drum work.

“Prior to deciding to use this track as my debut, I couldn’t decide what to put out first. I am sitting on so much unreleased music, so it was a gargantuan task,” explains Mt. Sierra. “When I thought back to the process of creating this tune during my time at Icon Collective, it only made sense that I release this first. I mean, It just felt right to pay tribute to someone who I consider to be one of my biggest inspirations. After giving it a listen, I think you can see where I’m coming from. It’s all in the synths.”

A massively dedicated producer and DJ, Mt. Sierra aims to showcase his unique blend of dance music via consistent and exciting releases, allowing his tunes to do the talking. Inspired by dance genres like big room, tech and progressive house, Mt. Sierra’s explosive yet introspective sound is truly one to explore in large detail, and we’re definitely excited to hear more from him in the near future.
