Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Team Up with Scooter for New Festival Anthem “We Love Hardcore”

Don’t you love it when a song title explains exactly what the song is going to be about? That’s the case with the latest single from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike “We Love Hardcore” with legendary German hardcore/techno outfit Scooter. As you can imagine “We Love Hardcore” is a raucous and energetic throwback, paying homage to the inimitable hardcore sound. If you’re an old school raver like me, “We Love Hardcore” will take you back to those early 2010s raving days.

The track opens with hard synths and that booming kick drum that mark hardstyle/hardcore, echoing in the background. Scooter vocalist H.P. Baxxter hops on the mic to hype up the listener and, of course, name off who’s behind the track. The beat comes in and the synths build up in urgency. Just before the drop we get a synth melody that sounds like the opening notes to Kernkraft 400’s “Zombie Nation.” But, DVLM invert the notes and throw in some “Whoa-o-whoas” to liven up the track. The beat plays as H.P. Baxxter shouts “We Love Hardcore!” No doubt, this song will tear up the main stage once festivals return. Here’s what DVLM had to say about working with hardcore legends Scooter.

“Scooter are an act that needs no introduction. We’re fans of what the guys have done over the years, so this collaboration was a real fun project to be a part of, and we’re proud to welcome H.P. Baxxter and his legendary band Scooter to our Smash The House label.”

Check out the official video for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike x Scooter’s latest “We Love Hardcore,” out now on Smash the House. This one is sure to scratch your festival itch.
