Showtek Drop Uplifting New Single “Show Some Love”

Dutch duo Showtek are back with their most impactful single of the year, “Show Some Love.” Over the past few years, the Janssen brothers have become far more vocal in using their platform to support social causes. With “Show Some Love” they instead focus on positivity and inclusivity. Teaming up with sonofsteve on vocals, “Show Some Love” showcases Showtek’s more thoughtful and melodic side.

The track opens up with sonofsteve’s fantastic vocals. His voice is uplifting and beautifully shares the message of unity that Showtek want to convey. After his verse, there’s some beautiful synths that perfectly lead into the drop. However, the drop is much more subdued than you might expect from Showtek. There’s some light pads, some trap drums and sonofsteve’s filtered vocals fading into the background. You have to appreciate the thoughtfulness of this song. It’s been a rough year for a lot of people, and this song just acknowledges how far a little love can go. Here’s what Sjoerd and Wouter had to say about “Show Some Love.”

“With this song we’re continuing to spread a positive message through our music, that hopefully brings people together in a time of divide. This year has been turbulent for everybody. Not only because of the pandemic, but also because of the systemic racism that has finally been brought to light. We felt it was time to spread some love and give the people something positive to listen to. We want our fans to know that we love them no matter what skin color, religion, sexuality or gender. We believe in a world where everybody is treated equally and where you can live together in our differences, that’s what makes us all beautiful.”

Listen to the latest from Showtek, “Show Some Love” featuring sonofsteve, out now on Skink. Re-live the Janssen brothers epic EDC Orlando virtual live stream as well.
