Fresh and mysterious face BILLYTHEKID maybe new to the world of electronic music in the eye of the public, but that won’t last for long. Running onto the scene with his anthemic debut ‘Locked & Loaded,’ BILLYTHEKID proves that he is here to stay.
Locked & Loaded opens up with immaculate sound design, screeching synths and rolling baselines. The record leaves no questions as to whether or not BILLYTHEKID is here to play games. Answer: He isn’t. The name BILLYTHEKID is inspired by the notorious gunfighter and outlaw from the American Old West alive during the late 1800’s.
Aggressive streaks of bass are littered throughout the drop, cornered by siren-like synths. The break is made of orchestral strings and driving percussion, an ode to the Wild West. BILLYTHEKID’s top notch sound design will surely have us over here at Your Edm keeping our eyes peeled on the brand new artist as he continues to release new music.
