Shlump is making his return to Circus Records, and perfectly on brand and absolutely weird af.
Teaming up with California-producer Call Me, the two just dropped their new collaboration “Program Malfunction” on the UK/global label, and it’s truly something to behold. It’s like riddim and space bass had a weird, deformed offspring, but you love it because it’s yours.
There’s a lot to absorb, between the spacey, dub-esque intro and the comparatively wonky first drop, the deep bass riddim of the second drop, and the coalescence of the two in the third. It’s a wild ride from start to finish and a fantastic example of how to bring the best of both producers to the front in an equal collaboration.
