“Creme Brulee” is a ‘90s R&B-style summer anthem, with empowering vocals sung to a non-gender conforming “Romeo” who is being hypnotized by this powerful female ready to embrace her sweet Creme Brûlée. The vocals and production coalesce into an upbeat musical experience that is rife with metaphor and euphemism. It’s entertaining and pleasing to the ear, and what more could we ask for than that?
The song is the first single on their collaborative forthcoming EP Sunset Situations, which will release this fall on their joint label/creative house Go Off Studios. Venessa sent Kaleena a complementary Twitter direct message back in 2017, and the two kindred spirits immediately hit it off. Both artists produce and write collaboratively during their music-making process, fostering a kaleidoscopic blend of their creative ideas into one shared vision.
