The world could sure use some UNITY right about now. Ferry Corsten has always known that, he’s been going strong with his UNITY project for more than two years now, and now the trance legend has teamed up with Irish producer Ciaran McAuley for “Mo Chara.” “Mo Chara” means “my friend” in Irish, and this song is filled with uplifting and positive vibes. If you’re an old school trance fan, this one should make your day.
“Mo Chara” definitely falls into the uplifting/progressive trance vein. The BPM is quick, it has those light, airy piano notes throughout. There’s also a hauntingly beautiful piano work after the first part of the song. Again all the synth notes are straight from the golden age of trance. You’re left with a little bit of hope as the track and the drums wane off into the distance. Here’s what Ferry and Ciaran had to say about the track.
“Ciaran and I went for an uplifting and hopeful track. The main pluck in ‘Mo Chara’ gives that old school happy vibe that we all long for today. ‘Mo Chara,’ my friend in Irish, will certainly take you on a journey.” – Ferry Corsten
“Ferry has been a huge inspiration in my career, he was one of my idols growing up and to collab with him now is a little surreal! I’ve been playing this in my live streams and almost everyone has been requesting its ID.” – Ciaran McAuley
