Sander van Doorn Makes His Anjunabeats Debut With New Purple Haze Track “Rosy”

Sander van Doorn has certainly been keeping busy during quarantine. He’s been steadily releasing tracks both as SVD and under his Purple Haze alias, as well. He’s also been a consistent presence doing virtual live streams from his home. Now the venerable Dutch producer/DJ is back with another top notch release as Purple Haze, “Rosy.” Not only is “Rosy” an awesome track that perfectly distillates the Purple Haze sound, it’s also SVD’s first release on legendary trance label Anjunabeats.

Purple Haze has always been about darker, more brooding soundscapes, it’s tech-trance after all. The track opens up with some cool acid-sounding synths, the kick drum in the background combined with the little vocal chops let you know this is a track meant for the after hours. After the first drop, there’s an amazing bridge where the synths become more bright in tone. With only some ambient noise layered against it, you get lost in the music. After this brief silent interlude, we get some awesome early-2000s sounding synths that get you right back in the groove.

Check out the latest from Purple Haze, “Rosy” out now on Anjunabeats. You can also check out SVD’s latest livestream as well.
