KSHMR is well known for his world sounds. Over the years, he’s masterfully blended his Indian heritage into not only his music, but his aesthetic and performances as well. His latest single, “Bruk It Down” sees KSHMR experimenting with Latin music. Never afraid to go international, this time, KSHMR teams up with Spanish producer Sak Noel and Jamaican singer TxTHEWAY for a song that both explores new territory, but has all the hallmarks of a KSHMR hit.
“Bruk It Down” starts out with some heavy dancehall influence in the horns and the drums. TxTHEWAY lays down some impressive vocals, switching between some actual crooning and more standard dancehall vocals. The horn that played lightly in the background during the intro gets some major amplification and becomes the drop. The high energy drop and exotic synths are definitely the most KSHMR part of the song. The music video will give you some serious summer FOMO; featuring a bright Latin American background and dancers that look like they were plucked straight from a Major Lazer set.
The summer vibes are strong with this one. Check out KSHMR’s latest track with Sak Noel “Bruk It Down” featuring TxTHEWAY out now on Dharma. You can re-live KSHMR’s quarantine live stream as well!
