Two of France’s finest have teamed up for a wonderful new track. Michael Calfan and Martin Solveig come together for “No Lie,” an addictive bit of grooving deep house that has sultry vocals and is utterly danceable. It’s one of those tracks that’s perfect for either late night dancing or radio listening.
“No Lie” is the second track of the year for both of the Parisian producers/DJs. Calfan dropped a remix for pop-singer iamshane earlier this year. Solveig previously released a single with his side-project with Jax Jones, Europa, “Tequila.”
“No Lie” wastes absolutely no time introducing itself. There’s a quick isolated synth note, and then we’re off. The uncredited female vocals immediately come in and set the tone while light pads and hi-hats play in the background. The production elements continue to build up as the vocals become more urgent leading to the buildup. The drop is pure vibes though, the repeating synth notes come back in over the percussion. This part of the song feels perfect for late night listening.
