History was made when Skrillex and Thys went b2b at OOST Nightclub in Groningen, Netherlands last month for a surprise set. We’ve been searching the internet high and low to find footage from this legendary performance — and finally, here we have it!
Clocking in at 2 and a half hours, the producers throw down “mostly techno/elecro/breakbeat/house/whatever you call that good stuff at 130 bpm.” Featuring music from Skrillex & Boys Noize, Noisia, Daft Punk, What So Not, Wuki, and so many more.
Going into the night, Skrillex and Thys must have known they’d be running the decks for a while. Instead of throwing down banger after banger they took their time, building up a steady vibe like the pros they are. This set is truly unmatched from its pace, to the song selection, down to the way it makes us feel. Listening back, we can feel the energy in that room.
Sets like this certainly don’t happen every day — and little did anyone know at the time, it would be one of the last pop up sets from both artists for a while. Soak it in.
