If you listen to Hardwell On Air or are a fan of his music, you’re probably familiar with Dutch DJ/producer Maddix. Maddix has become a stalwart on Revealed Records over the past few years, having released tons of festival-ready tunes such as “The Underground,” “Zero” and “Lose Control.” On top of that, he’s also collab-ed with Revealed head honcho Hardwell on “Smash This Beat” and “Bella Ciao.” Throughout his career Maddix has consistently shown his versatility as a producer, as he’s proven to be adept at big room, hardstyle and psy-trance.
For his first release in 2020, “Ecstasy,” Maddix is ready to start a new chapter. “Ecstasy” sees Maddix lean into his more rave-y side, using a hypnotic vocal sample, a huge buildup, and alarm-like synths. All this set against a pounding kick-drum in the drop gives the track it’s classic big room vibe.
“Ecstasy” is a track that is made for peak festival hours. Hardwell has always sought out the most rave ready tracks on Revealed and “Ecstasy” is a classic selection for the label. You can picture yourself in a dark warehouse as the synth notes repeat over the aforementioned vocal.
