The Weeknd Releases 4th Studio Album ‘After Hours’ [MUST LISTEN]

The Weeknd‘s highly anticipated album After Hours just dropped — and it’s a dark, emotional masterpiece.

After Hours is a stark contrast from The Weekend’s earlier work. For example, 2016’s Starboy boasted a wave of high-profile collaborations with Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, and Future. However, this release has no features, no frills, just an unmistakable vibe to latch onto.

On After Hours, The Weeknd’s voice glides over one masterful production after the next with heavy R&B influence and glimmers of dance inspiration. The record sets its own tone, thriving in the most mysterious late night hours imaginable, completing in 14 tracks what may be his most seamless body of work yet. And on “Hardest To Love,” he even taps into a bit of drum & bass… as a treat.

After Hours is out now via XO and Republic Records. After four years, it’s amazing to hear where The Weeknd’s head is at…

Dive in right here.
