HAMi is making his presence known in 2020 with one of the heaviest EPs we’ve heard thus far!
HAMICIDE Vol. 1 is not for the faint of heart, as HAMi puts his blood, sweat, and tears into his work and it shows. The opening track “FREQUENCY SHIFT” wastes no time setting the tone — no exaggerated builds or cheesy intros — just mind-bending, bone-shaking bass.
With riddim as his preferred method of attack, HAMi powers forward with two more deadly assaults. “BAT SHIT” most definitely lives up to its name with unrelenting, in-your-face hits. “STOOPID!” is also self-explanatory, with ridiculous sound design and mad flow.
Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada now based in Los Angeles, Erik Hamamoto or better known by his moniker “HAMi” crushed nollie heel- flips in his sleep as a pro skater during the 2000’s. Unfortunately, after a debilitating tour ending motorcycle accident that left him in recovery for over 5 months, HAMi repurposed his disciplined work ethic as well as natural talent. He channeled it with full force into a new skill set — bass music production.
This massive talent has already seen support from heavyweights Borgore, Getter, and NGHTMRE, and has appeared on Firepower Records, Buygore, and Never Say Die.
If HAMICIDE Vol. 1 is any indicator, there’s plenty more where this came from. Brace yourselves.
