Graves dropped “Less Permanent” with Ezi nearly a year ago, a relatively relaxed and beautiful song compared to much of the producer’s heavier trap and bass releases. Thankfully, if you were really craving that side of the tune, IKYGUY has us covered.
Out today is IKYGUY’s unofficial “rewrite” of the tune, though with this kind of quality it really should be officially recognized. Adding a couple drums to the intro to give it a more suspenseful quality ahead of the drop, it quickly heads into a textured melodic drop that keeps the vocals in for a wonderful effect. It’s powerfully heavy while retaining a considerable amount of melody thanks to the influence from the original.
