Spotify is changing the way we interact with friends on the platform.
A new feature called “Tastebuds” allows users to explore the musical tastes of their friends.
Until this point, Spotify has seriously lacked on features to allow friends to interact via the platform. “Friend Activity” has been available for quite some time, but only via desktop. Music can also be shared music via SMS, Facebook Messenger, and more.

However, these new features are much more integrated.
Spotify Tastebuds features:
See your music matches: Scan your Spotify library to see people near you who listen to the music you care about. Tweak the search filters to see people who meet your criteria.
Discover new music: Find and listen to your matches’ favourite music as your browse profiles.
Share music while you chat: Chat in realtime and share your favourite Spotify playlists with someone who takes your fancy.
