With so much of the media focusing on Billy McFarland, Ja Rule’s involvement in Fyre Festival has been mostly downplayed. However, the rapper/mogul was a partner in the festival and his role remains the same, even after McFarland’s time in court.
Now, it seems Ja Rule is looking to clear up even more “misinformation” about himself and the festival in a new track released called “FYRE,” as he also announces his first new album since 2012’s Pain Is Love 2. The track has choice lyrics such as:
“For your real entertainment, I’m ’bout to tell you how that shit went down from the horses mouth / With no D.A. or plaintiffs, but in the people’s court, baby, they’ll hang you like they ancestors,”
“The fest—the festival is on fire / We don’t need no water, make that motherfucker hotter / Hotter than the sun, but it wasn’t that / Show of hands if you got your money back? / Just playing, I got sued for that / 100 mil to be exact.”
“Full sabotage, it ain’t fraud”
In November, Ja Rule was cleared from the ongoing $100 million Fyre Fest lawsuit. The track is currently only available via IGTV and YouTube, check it out below.
